Why did you join AMSA?: I joined AMSA to gain a better understanding of the process of pursuing healthcare and the thoughts of those around me on the same path. Switching from Aerospace was a big change for me, so having an inviting and supportive community was so important and helpful as I became a pre-medical student. Now, I can confidently say that because of AMSA, the different events and speakers, and most importantly, the people involved- I am so much more confident in my pathway towards medical school and why I want to pursue healthcare, hopefully ophthalmology in Texas!
